Crossroads’ Elite Amateur Team Kicks Off This Saturday: GCPL Season Preview

The Gulf Coast Premier League (GCPL) wrote a season preview on each of the teams playing this season.  Click HERE to check out GCPL’s preview of Crossroads’ Elite Amateur team, Pool Boys Football Club (PBFC).

Crossroads’ Elite Amateur team, in its third year of existence, was founded in 2014.  In addition to representing Alexandria and Crossroads in a state-wide men’s league, PBFC has represented Louisiana in USASA Region III National Cup competitions multiples times in its short life.  PBFC is for players ages 16 and above but predominantly features former PRIDE players, current PRIDE coaches, and current LSUA soccer players.  This year’s squad is coached by Arick Lassiter and Zach White, both current PRIDE coaches.

Crossroads’ Director of Operations, Jeremy Poklemba, is the president of the Gulf Coast Premier League (one of 13 USASA Elite Amateur leagues in the U.S.), formerly known as the Louisiana Premier League (LPL).

Don’t miss out on PBFC’s first GCPL game at Johnny Downs this Saturday vs Shreveport Rafters FC!  The game kicks off at 7:30pm.

Over the offseason the Pool Boys stayed a little busy focusing on hiring a new coaching staff and were able to achieve their goal by bringing in Arick Lassiter and Zach White. Lassiter, a former player and assistant coach at NC State, is currently residing in Louisiana assisting with the state’s Olympic Development Program. White, former Louisiana College player, will help assist as a player coach. Lassiter’s name could be recognized due to his brother’s, Roy Lassiter, success on the US Men’s National Team and in the MLS, along with his nephew, Ariel Lassiter, who currently plays for USL side, LA Galaxy II. Needless to say, it’s in the blood.

Come On You Pool Boys!
